Breathedge 2 Xbox Release Date

There is no Breathedge 2 Xbox release date yet, and you cannot buy it on Xbox. A Microsoft Store page exists, which is why search results make it look purchasable, but the listing carries no price, no pre-order and no date. The game is PC-only for now.

It is also not on Xbox Game Pass, and has not been announced for it.

What the Microsoft Store listing actually shows

This is the most useful thing about the Xbox situation: Microsoft's own page tells you exactly how far along the console version is.

Read that as a placeholder page rather than a store page. The useful signal is the "Play with" line: both console generations are listed, so an Xbox version is planned, and it is intended to run on Xbox One as well as Series X|S.

Beware of aggregator sites saying it launched

Several release-date aggregators claim Breathedge 2 arrived on Xbox alongside PC on August 31, 2026. That contradicts Microsoft's own listing, which is not purchasable. Aggregators routinely convert "announced for this platform" into "released on this platform" automatically. When a third-party date contradicts the platform holder's own store page, the store page wins.

Is Breathedge 2 on Game Pass?

No. It has not been announced for Xbox Game Pass in any tier. Since the game is not even buyable on Xbox yet, a Game Pass listing would be premature — but it is worth stating plainly, because it is the second thing people search after the release date.

How long could the Xbox version take?

Nobody has committed to a schedule, and the developers' Early Access plans discuss content updates — chapters, vehicles, building — without mentioning console ports.

What we can offer is the first game's history as a reference point. This is Breathedge 1 data, not a promise about the sequel:

PlatformBreathedge 1 releaseGap after PC
PC (Windows)February 25, 2021
Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo SwitchApril 6, 2021~6 weeks
PlayStation 5February 25, 20221 year

Two things make that pattern a weak predictor here. The first game left early access before its console launch, and Breathedge 2 is only at the start of a stated 16-20 month Early Access run. A console build normally follows the finished PC version, so a 2026 Xbox release looks unlikely, and nothing beyond that is knowable today.

What the listing describes

The Microsoft page is a placeholder for buying purposes, but its marketing copy is real and gives a sense of the version being planned. It covers three pillars: exploring new worlds and facing their enemies, piloting ships and vehicles, and managing your crew. That matches the PC build's direction rather than describing some cut-down console edition.

The rating detail is also worth noting if you are buying for someone else: TEEN, for blood, crude humour, drug reference, language, suggestive themes, use of alcohol and violence. Breathedge's comedy is not family-friendly, and the sequel keeps that register.

Controller support suggests the work is real

The PC build already records full controller support on Steam, along with explicit DualSense and DualShock handling. A studio adding console-pad specific support during Early Access is a studio that intends to ship on consoles — it is not proof of a date, but it is more than a marketing promise.

Will it be on Game Pass at launch?

Unknown, and nothing has been announced. Two things are worth separating:

How you will know when it is real

Watch for a price or a pre-order button appearing on the Microsoft Store listing. Both require the publisher to configure a purchasable product, which is the last step before a date becomes public. Aggregator sites will claim a release long before that happens; the store page is what actually changes.
